How Pollution effects Infertility
Anything which affects the normal, natural environment is pollution. It could be air, water, sound, earth or ozone – the five primal elements of nature. Similarly, the human body is composed of the same five elements though in different proportions, whenever the balance is lost due to internal and external pollutants, the body becomes diseased or ill. The majority of the disorders of the modern world like Diabetes, Thyroid dysfunction, Cancers, Infertility, Hypertension, Psychiatric illness, strokes etc are being attributed to external pollutants in the form of pesticides, insecticides, preservatives, colouring agents etc. There are lots of chemicals that we use on our bodies in the form of deodorants, perfumes, sprays, shampoos, beautifying agents, lipsticks and hair colours which have endocrine-disrupting factors (EDF) that cause hormonal imbalances in both males and females which in turn causes infertility. Also, the pollutants at the workplace eg: The painting industry, production of chemical agents, dyeing industry, furnaces and foundries cause a lot of harm to the human system causing male infertility in the form of abnormal sperms. Also, ladies working in such environments are observing a lot of menstrual irregularities and premature ovarian failures. Couples desiring children should be very cautious of such harmful environments and stay away from them for good.
